Owl Valley Glamping is on the land of a historic cottage and bridge called Jennetts. Jennetts is a gorgeous listed thatched cottage where the owners Ray and Pauline live, the ancient bridge is part of their drive! which reaches over Buckland road. The cottage has an interesting history with its own original old carriageway running all the way from the top to the bottom of their beautiful valley, which was once used as a driveway to Moreton house and for a short cut to Bideford. The cottage was where the gatekeeper lived. Sadly the rest of the original carriageway has been lost and this is the only remaining part. Previously Jennetts has also been a smallholding, but most recently its life has been that of a wonderful private nature reserve, covered with many wild flowers, unusual native trees and attracting an abundance of birds, butterflies, dragonfly and moths. When all is quiet you many even spy the shy deer and of course Owls! (The inspiration behind the name).
